Life: the universe, and everything... My current temp job, which I've had for 8 and a half months, enjoyed a good bit, both because of the work and the people, is coming to an end on Friday. They don't have the budget to keep me, and someone else got the permanent opening I applied for in July (and it took them 'til mid-August to get their act together and tell us, yeesh). I'm bummed but hopeful. Anyway: next week I'll probably be panicking, again. I was really hoping I'd have a new job before this job ended (they told me three weeks ago) but it is not to be. SO!

I'm enjoying the heck out of this show, all the characters, the theme of taking a big risk in order to make a big change in your life (and your self) for what are probably screamingly obvious reasons. And I have theories! Many many theories. I will share my latest bit of speculation here...

Time travel.

Lilia said, "I didn't enjoy this the first time around!" in the middle of Eleanora's attack in Ep. 5. All along she's been blurting out bits of Tarot card knowledge that matched the happenings on-screen; the "3 of Pentacles" (for a group starting an enterprise) at the very beginning when Teen and Agatha first met her, "High Priestess" when she met Jennifer. And she's been zoning out and saying things other people would then say later at various intervals. So I am fairly sure that we're due for a rewind pretty soon, given that the only person left standing at the moment is Teen (who yeah, has gotta be Billy Maximoff/Kaplan, given that crown and his powers at the end of the ep).

Plus, while Agatha *is* callous (she forgot Sharon's name, I was sure for a bit she had gotten amnesia along with whatever else happened in Trial #1, but nope, she really is that dismissive of other people) she is the only one who's been on the Road before. And that last line of hers before they buried Sharon ("I didn't think you had it in you"), and that little wink at Teen when he asked about it, points to this not being the last we see of Sharon.

Now I have heard *one* spoiler from a trailer (I won't share it, don't worry), that gave me a clue that there's a lot more going on with Agatha than the very funny, ruthless, smart evil-ish person we've seen for 5 eps. I'm holding out hope that she's got room to change. But I'm trying not to let my knowledge of Terry Pratchett's Discworld influence my view on witches too much. It *is* one of my favorite ideas, that witches are there to do what needs to be done, for whatever reason.

So; does Agatha have those purple powers, to do exactly what she said in WandaVision, to take power from the undeserving? Did she kill those coven members in 1692 because they tried to kill her first? The ones that happened off-screen, I mean, before they were tying her to a stake. We had a "potions guy", a divination witch, a blood witch who was a protection witch, and two different "green" witches for the other slots in the coven. No one ever bothered to say what Agatha's powers were... until the last ep, when it was clear that necromancy is part of them. Dark, dark stuff, but not necessarily evil.

Speculation and other commentary welcomed! Just please keep it to the episodes of Agatha and WandaVision, not anything else that might have leaked or been in a trailer. :)
